EXPLORE TAGHAZOUT
Taghazout, o Taghazout.
Some of the most pleasurable parts of visiting a new place are free. A must do is soaking up the atmosphere in Taghazout. The architecture of this small fishing village is a spicy mix of old houses with some very typical Moroccan style buildings all painted in stunning white and blue colors. Wander around through the small streets by the coastline and when you get tired of walking, take a stop at some authentic local eateries to sample the flavors of Morocco.
2. TAGHAZOUT SKATEPARK
Taghazout skatepark is build high above the towns village. It is definite worth a visit if only for the stunning view that it has over the bey. It’s hard to get to the spot by feet, better to go with car from the highway. This is the place to meet some of the local legends who surf and skate in the area.
3. PARADISE VALLEY
Clear, turquoise blue water and beautiful cliffs surrounded by palmtree’s , that’s Paradise Valley. This trip will take you almost a full day away up into the mountains of the anti-atlas. The spot is perfect for hiking into mother nature and don’t forget to make a stop on the way at the Argan Oil Cooperative where they will learn you everything about this magical Moroccan oil.
4. SAND DUNE SURFING
They say “ Those who don’t jump, will never fly “ , in this case you might really be flying for a second when you dare the jump of this dune. In between Tamri and Imsouane you can find the little desert by the ocean, best to get a guide with you to show you the off-road that leads to the dunes. Peacefull and stunning spot and a definite must-do on your list ! Prepare yourself to find sand in some dark places afterwards.
5. HAMMAM
That feeling of being reborn that is what hammam is all about. When in Morocco visitors should not miss out on the experience of going to a Moroccan hammam. It can also be described as a bathhouse; however, privacy is not on the cards. Most hammams work under the same principle, although some do go about things differently. The main objective though, is to get so clean that you sparkle on your way out, and the Moroccans know how to get clean.
6. QUAD RIDE
What better way to end your holiday on a high note than unplugging from technology and soaking in the great outdoors. Go for an off-road tour through the mountains and on the beaches. It’s the perfect combination to feel an adventurous kinda freedom.
7. SOUK
Morocco is every house designers wet dream ! From poufs to rugs, incense to pottery. The souk is the place to be if you wanna shop some locally made souvenirs or if you want to take a snif of Moroccan daily life. Every big city has a souk worth visiting.
8. HORSE RIDE ON THE BEACH
To feel the wind in your hair, the warmth of the sun in your face, the moist ocean air permeating your skin.To see wonderful sights while riding one of the world’s most majestic creatures. Horse riding is one of the most enjoyable activities you can practice in nature.
9. TAMRI
They call Aourir banana village, but we know better. Tamri is a raw diamand by the ocean and is the real banana village ! This very much local place has one the most stunning beaches and best surfspots of the area and some really cool banana fields. Wanna see how the real of-the-beaten track Morocco looks like, then this village is a must visit !
10. ESSOUIRA
A citytrip to one of our personal favorites ! Essouira, the windy city is an enchanting, laid-back alternative to the frenetic melting-pot of Marrakesh. A stunning big fishing village with a lot of old french architecture. Jimmy Hendrix use to live in this city and is one of the many people that fell for it's charm.
